Symptoms of alpha-gal include hives, itching skin (eczema), headaches, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Alpha-gal is often associated with a food allergy to red meat. There are diagnostic test for Alpha-gal syndrome. These tests are often ordered by your primary care doctor.
